Rhythm at NAMM: New Diamond snares from Craviotto

Despite their ‘laughing in the face of the credit crunch’ price Craviotto’s brass-shelled Diamond Series snares received a five star review in Rhythm in 2008. One exceptional year on and they now offer two new solid copper-shelled drums.

Rhythm at NAMM: Spaun launch mid-price TL Series

Californian Custom drum company Spaun have always created unique drums with wild finishes and an array of materials and configurations. These drums, unsurprisingly also come with a hefty price tag (just check out the excellent, but pricey Edgevent kit review in the February issue of Rhythm). With this in mind Spaun have chosen to hit the mid-price market with a 100% 8-ply maple shell kit. (more…)

Rhythm at NAMM: Ludwig overhaul for their centenary year

Since 1909 The Ludwig Drum Company has built a massive name in the drum world, with a little help from Ringo and Bonham. Their 100th anniversary will see a drastic make-over of existing lines, plus a handful of new ones too.
